On Saturday, April 24, the Broadway Bank Care Corps volunteers participated in the 12th Annual Fiesta Pooch Parade benefiting the Delta Society of San Antonio. The Society is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the human-animal bond which promotes good health and healing through their therapy animals.
Any Baby Can 6th Annual
Walk
for Autism

On Saturday, April 24, the Broadway Bank Care Corps, friends, and family members participated in a two-mile walk for the Any Baby Can 6th Annual Walk for Autism at Brackenridge Park. The Walk for Autism is an event put on by Any Baby Can to raise funds to bring awareness and support to families with children diagnosed with Autism.
On Sunday, April 18, the Broadway Bank Care Corps assisted with game booths for the kids. Broadway Bank was proud to be a part of San Antonio's 119th Annual 11 day Fiesta celebration. The Broadway Bus and Mr. B made a star appearance, playing air guitar and hugging and “high-fiving” guests!
24th Annual Alamo Heights

On Friday, April 16, the Broadway Bank Care Corps was proud to be a part of Alamo Heights Rotary --- 24th Annual - Alamo Heights Night, at its new location, The University of the Incarnate Word. Volunteers activities included selling entry tickets, food/drink tickets and of course counting money It was a great event and fun was had by all.
On Friday, April 2, the Broadway Bank Care Corps delivered 302 Easter baskets to the children of Child Protective Services and the Children’s Shelter at Woodlawn Lake. Thank you to all who donated items and in many cases, complete baskets, to this cause. Several people took time out of their day to help put the baskets together. The teamwork was apparent and the response this year was overwhelming.
We were allowed, for the first time, to hand out the baskets directly to the children. It was a very heartwarming and emotional experience. Each child was smiling and so excited to receive a basket.
Luminaria Arts Night
in San Antonio

On March 13, the Broadway Bank Care Corps was assigned to work in one of the retail booths at a fun event. T-shirts, caps, glow bracelets and glow necklaces were sold to benefit Luminaria. Luminaria is a free event, held in Downtown San Antonio along Alamo Street from Market to Durango, into La Villita, Hemisfair Park and the Convention Center.
On Saturday, March 6, over 80 Broadway Bank employees, friends, and family members participated in the MS Walk held at the AT&T Center here in San Antonio. The MS Walk is an event put on by the San Antonio Chapter of the MS Society to raise funds and build awareness about the crippling effects of Multiple Sclerosis. The event drew over 3,000 participants and to date has raised over $208,000 of their $300,000 goal. Team Broadway raised over $3,100 towards the overall goal. The event was a pet friendly event and a number of the Broadway Bankers had their four legged friends in tow. Team Broadway had a team tent where everyone met up before and after the event with the Broadway Bank banner proudly displayed.
Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon

On Saturday, February 27, the Broadway Bank Care Corps participated in the Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon. With the generous help of Broadway Bank they raised almost $70,000!
Girl Scouts Cookie Warehouse
February 2010 details
On Saturday, February 20, the Broadway Bank Care Corps participated in the distribution of cookies at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center. Girls Scouts and their parent came by throughout the day to pickup boxes of cookies for the annual event. Broadway Bankers and family members had plenty of fun in the warehouse especially sampling all the cookies.
On Sunday, January 31, the Broadway Bank Care Corps assisted with various children’s activities during the VITA One Day Event held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program allows individuals to file their income tax for free and is open to anyone earning $55,000 a year or less. Over 500 returns were filed during this event! Broadway Bank was proud to be one of the sponsors impacting many low income families benefiting them higher returns and generating more dollars for San Antonio.
