On Friday, June 17 Broadway Bank Care Corps assisted with concessions, t-shirts and gates at the Blossom Athletic Center for the Crossmen Marching Music eXtravaganza. The Crossmen is a non-profit musical organization that assists young people to become outstanding individuals through the arts. With 150 performers ranging in age from 15 – 21, the Crossmen includes brass musicians, percussionists and a color guard. They perform an extravaganza of musical excellence, marching precision, color, drama, dance, humor, and emotion. The Crossmen will travel over 15,000 miles this summer entertaining hundreds of thousands of fans throughout the nation. |
2011 Walk to Cure Lupus

On Saturday, June 4, the Broadway Bank Care Corps participated in the Alliance for Lupus Research’s 2011 Walk to Cure Lupus at Brackenridge Park. Volunteers helped greet walkers, register walkers, collect funds, pass out t-shirts, serve breakfast tacos and brownies, hand out water and iced tea, and establish the walking trail. There were over 150 walkers in this year’s walk, raising over $10,000 for on-going Lupus research. |
